Donations Following Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024
DeNA would like to express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of January 1, 2024, and our heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the disaster.
DeNA made a donation through the Japanese Red Cross Society, and the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, together with the Nippon Professional Baseball Association and the 12 professional baseball teams, also made a donation through the Japanese Red
Cross Society.
In addition, each business and service provided the following support.

Donations to Shuri Castle Post-Fire Restoration
On October 31, 2019 a fire significantly damaged Shuri Castle, an important historical and cultural symbol of Okinawa. In response, DeNA, the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, the Yokohama DeNA BayStars Players Association, and Yokohama Stadium provided donations to Okinawa Prefecture to help support restoration efforts.
Donations to Niigata Prefecture
On June 18, 2019, an earthquake struck with its epicenter off the coast of Yamagata Prefecture.
This earthquake caused major damage to many local residents. DeNA, the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, and the Yokohama DeNA BayStars Players Association provided donations to Niigata Prefecture to support those affected by the earthquake.
Donation for Heavy Rain in July 2018
Heavy rain from June 28 to July 8, 2018 in western Japan caused significant damage for local residents. DeNA provided a donation to the Japanese Red Cross Society to support those impacted.
Donations for the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake
On April 14, 2016, a major earthquake struck in Kumamoto Prefecture, causing major damage. To support those affected, DeNA sold game items and avatars intended for donation on Mobage, and the total proceeds were donated to the Japanese Red
Cross Society. DeNA is extremely grateful to all those who participated in this initiative and helped to support those impacted by the earthquake.
The Yokohama DeNA BayStars Baseball Club and Players Association also sent donations through the Social Welfare Corporation Central Community Chest of Japan. Before games in Yokohama Stadium, the players also participated in fundraising
activities, and many visitors to the stadium contributed to these efforts.
Donation for Nepal Earthquake
To support those impacted by the earthquake in Nepal on April 25, 2015, DeNA sold game items for donation in three games on Mobage, and the total proceeds were donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
Donations for the Great East Japan Earthquake
To support the many people working to rebuild their lives after the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, DeNA called for users to contribute to fundraising through Mobage. Users could purchase avatars or special MobaCoins for donation, and the total proceeds were donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
- 100 million yen donated DeNA donated 100 million yen to help contribute to the rebuilding efforts in the disaster area.
- Employing people from the disaster area To support those affected by the disaster in rebuilding their lives, from April 2011 the Niigata Customer Support Center began hiring those from the area as contract employees. Niigata Prefecture helped disseminate information about the program, and to date 29 refugees living in evacuation centers in Niigata have been hired through this program.
- Charity auction by the Yokohama DeNA BayStars and Mobaoku The Yokohama DeNA BayStars and Mobaoku held a charity auction on the Mobaoku auction site. During this charity auction, bats, caps, and other items used by the players were offered for sale. The total proceeds were donated to the disaster area through the Trust Capital Foundation.
